Mr. Newman joined NorthMarq Capital in 2007. Mr. Newman is currently Senior Vice President and Co-Managing Director of NorthMarq’s Charlotte and Raleigh regional offices. Mr. Newman’s responsibilities include debt and equity placement for the insurance companies and pension fund investors represented by NorthMarq, as well as the development of new clients and financing opportunities in the Charlotte MSA. Mr. Newman has over 18 years experience in commercial real estate financing. Prior to joining NorthMarq, Mr. Newman was President of RBC Capital Advisors, a southeast regional commercial mortgage banking company based in Charlotte. Mr. Newman started his real estate finance career as a construction lender with First Union in Charlotte and prior to that was a naval aviator in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Newman received his B.S. degree from the United States Naval Academy and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Charlotte Latin School. |
