IFC delivers on the often-made promise of providing a work environment that allows people from all different backgrounds and experience to flourish. Working for the Corporate Business Informatics Department, what is traditionally known as IT, I have gained valuable experience outside my official role as an information officer, as the opportunity to work in all aspects of IFC’s business presents itself often. This exposure has enabled me to better understand the challenges of my clients and provide appropriate solutions.
The information technology department operates as a solutions provider and is viewed within the Corporation as one of the critical components for IFC’s business. The challenging task of providing solutions across the globe attracts a talent pool of forward thinkers who often rely more on their creative skills than on their technical skills. Technology links to all aspects of what IFC does and plays a major role in development of the countries where we work.
Since I have worked at IFC, I have traveled from Mexico to Moscow. The majority of my development has resulted from my experiences from working with the diverse backgrounds of the staff at IFC and in the diverse countries where we operate.
