Colin Douglas is a professional actor and director in the Chicagoland area, as well as around the south and the Midwest. Originally a native of Michigan, Colin moved to the Chicago area to teach elementary school 26 years ago. He has also worked as a school librarian in several Illinois schools, and he holds a bachelor's degree in theater and English, a Master's in Theater, a Master of Library Science from Western Michigan University and an MFA in Musical Theater Performance from Chicago's Roosevelt University. Besides teaching in the public schools, Colin taught theater and puppetry and directed productions for 14 summers at the Interlochen Academy of Arts. Recently he completed a two-year post as Artistic Director at CTM Madison Family Theatre, in Madison, Wisconsin. Colin enjoys spending time traveling, discovering new restaurants, losing himself in unusual bookstores, and viewing great plays and musicals in Chicago, New York and London. |
