Clive is Chairman & CEO of The Silverfern Group and brings over 20 years of senior financial and business management experience to the Silverfern team. He has extensive experience in general industrial and cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, LBOs and joint ventures. He has taken a company public on the NASDAQ as a Principal/Founder.
Prior to founding Silverfern Clive spent 9 years in Investment Banking on Wall Street, most recently as Head of Energy Mergers & Acquisitions for the Americas, and previously Co-Head of North American Mergers and Acquisitions for Deutsche Bank Securities in New York. Before Deutsche Bank, Clive was an Officer in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of Morgan Stanley and Co. Incorporated and he also worked in Mergers and Acquisitions for Merrill Lynch & Co.
Clive's previous experience includes his being Chief Financial Officer for a $1 billion public investment company, Finance Director of a public advertising agency, and Corporate Secretary of a subsidiary of one of the Nation's largest commercial banks. Clive has extensive experience in corporate financial advisory and planning services, and is intimately familiar with both public and private merger, financing and capital raising issues and solutions. He is a Managing Partner of Silverfern affiliates Silverfern Co-Investment PartnersTM and Silverfern Debt AdvisorsSM. He is a former Director of Hauppauge Digital, Inc. (Nasdaq: HAUP), and has given numerous presentations on how to use Mergers & Acquisitions to maximize shareholder value to senior executives at organizations such as the Young Presidents' Organization, The Harvard Business School Club and TEC International.
Clive is a Chartered Accountant and is also a Chartered Corporate Secretary. He is a Registered Securities Principal. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School, his E.C.S.P. Diploma (with Honours) from the Institut D'Etudes Politique de Paris (Sciences Po), and his Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree from Victoria University of Wellington. |
