Clifford A. Ulrich, a partner based in the firm’s New York office, focuses his practice on patent prosecution (both foreign and domestic), evaluation and related counseling, with particular emphasis in the mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical arts, as well as in the field of design patents. Mr. Ulrich’s experience covers a vast range of technologies, including automotive devices and systems, aerospace systems, computer devices and peripherals, consumer goods and medical devices. During the course of his career, Mr. Ulrich has counseled a wide range of clients, from multinational corporations to small businesses and start-up companies to individuals. Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Ulrich gained industry experience as a design and manufacturing engineer. Mr. Ulrich earned his B.S., with Honors, in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1989 and his J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School in 1996, where he served on the editorial board of the New York Law School Journal of International and Comparative Law.
