Cliff Verron is the Deputy CFO of Citi Markets & Banking (CMB), which encompasses the global businesses of capital markets, investment banking, corporate banking, and corporate transaction services of Citi. He oversees the areas of Tax, Treasury, Financial Control, Accounting Policy and Balance Sheet, and Intercompany Controls. He is a member of Citi’s Management Committee.
Prior to assuming his current position in June 2005, Mr. Verron was Financial Controller of the CMB. He has also held several other positions within the company, including Deputy Treasurer of Salomon Smith Barney, with specific responsibilities for Liquidity Management, Foreign Exchange Hedging, and Capital Markets issuance activity and European Treasurer from 1997to 1999 in the UK. From 1982 to 1997, he had several roles within the Financial Controller’s Division, including three years as Global Derivatives Controller and spent five years as Controller in Japan.
Mr. Verron graduated with an MBA from Adelphi University and a BA from Southern Connecticut University.
