Mr. Stritmatter became a member of the managerial team in 1977. Prior to joining Carrix, he spent eight years with the Brady Hamilton Stevedoring Company in Portland, Oregon after working for several years at Pacific Lumber Shipping. In 1986, he became president of Food Products International, a former affiliate of Carrix. In 1989, Mr. Stritmatter returned to Carrix and assumed overall responsibilities for all Northwest ports outside of Seattle. Currently, Mr. Stritmatter is president of Carrix’s conventional cargo business worldwide which includes all U.S. West Coast conventional business, as well as operations in the Gulf, S.E. Atlantic (SSA Cooper), New Zealand and South Africa. Mr. Stritmatter is also president of SSA Cooper and chairman of DRS.
