Claude Davis joined First Financial Bancorp on October 1, 2004, as president, chief executive officer, and a member of the board of directors. He is also chairman, president, and chief executive officer First Financial Bank, N.A.
Prior to joining First Financial Bancorp, Davis was a senior vice president of the $5.1 billion Irwin Financial Corporation and chairman of Irwin Union Bank and Trust in Columbus, Indiana, where his banking career spanned 17 years in sales management, finance, information technology, and operations. Earlier, he spent four years on the audit staff of Coopers & Lybrand.
An Indiana native, Davis earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Butler University in Indianapolis. In 1983, he earned the designation of certified public accountant.
Davis serves on the board of trustees of Butler University and the board of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis. He gave the keynote address at the 2005 annual meeting of the Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and is serving a one-year term on the board of directors of the Dan Beard Council of the Boys Scouts of America.
Davis and his wife Sara are the parents of a son and a daughter. |
