Claire Gilmartin is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the New York Office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Her practice is focused on patent litigation, as well as patent prosecution, copyright and trademark litigation.
Before joining Milbank, Ms. Gilmartin was an intern chemist for the Environmental and Occupational Health Science Institute, where she specialized in analytical chemistry.
Ms. Gilmartin has been involved in patent litigation related to technologies in the pharmaceutical industry, medical arts and devices, and computer programs. Recently, Ms. Gilmartin's work has been focused on pharmaceutical litigation. Specifically, she has been involved in protecting the rights of a leading pharmaceutical company within a consolidated patent litigation against potential generic competitors. She has also successfully prosecuted patent applications within the medical field for both individual inventors and pharmaceutical companies.
Ms. Gilmartin is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Additionally, Ms. Gilmartin is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Association.
Ms. Gilmartin received her Bachelors of Art in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross in 1997 and her J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2001. |
