Cindy Parrott oversees clinical directors and nurse specialists in Medical-Surgical Intensive Care, Emergency Room, Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab, Open Heart, Operating Room and Nursing Education. Parrott also manages the online nursing school, nursing recruitment, interim CNO pool, nursing education module web-based learning, nursing CE providership, national CNO meeting, and nursing policy and procedure development.
Parrott joined CHS in 2002 as a CNO and was promoted in 2006 to her current position. She has 34 years of hospital experience and has served as state president of the Alabama Post-Anesthesia Care Nurses and president of the Nursing Education Society in Birmingham. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing, a master’s in business administration from Sanford University, and is nationally certified in post-anesthesia care nursing. |
