Christopher A. Wiggan, Sr. is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Mitchell & Titus, a member firm of
Ernst & Young Global Limited. Christopher has more than 15 years of audit and accounting experience, with a financial services industry focus in asset management and securities brokerage entities. He has led numerous audit engagements for private equity funds, hedge funds, and securities broker-dealers. Christopher has provided audit services on employee benefit plans for Fortune 1000 clients . In that role, he has led the audits of pension, 401(k) (including SEC 11K reporting plans) as well as health and welfare plans.
Christopher joined Mitchell & Titus in 2005 as a senior manager and was subsequently admitted to Mitchell & Titus' partnership in January 2007. Christopher supervises the planning and execution of financial statement audit engagements in accordance with professional auditing standards and oversees the preparation of financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Christopher also is one of the firm's leaders for campus recruiting initiatives and a member of the firm's Quality Control Committee.
Prior to joining Mitchell & Titus, Christopher garnered experience at two "Big Four" firms. He worked at Deloitte for 12 years before departing as an audit senior manager. Christopher later served as a director in the Business Assurance and Advisory Services area at PricewaterhouseCoopers within its Washington, D.C. Federal Practice. Christopher also gained experience in forensic accounting at Institutional Shareholder Services as the director of its forensic accounting product.
Christopher earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from City University of New York, Brooklyn College. He is a certified public accountant in the District of Columbia and various states. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). |
