Christopher Stanton is Captaris's Chief Legal Officer General Counsel & Secretary. He leads the company’s Legal Department which is responsible for all legal work of the company. The Legal Department also plays a leading role in corporate communications corporate compliance and intellectual property strategy.
Before joining Captaris Stanton worked at Perkins Coie LLP in both its Seattle and Hong Kong offices where his practice focused on technology companies and intellectual property matters. He also worked at a law firm based in Taipei Taiwan where he assisted businesses with cross-border intellectual property and other legal issues.
Stanton obtained his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law where he was an editor of the Law Review. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia where he was selected as an Echols Scholar. Stanton has also studied in Hong Kong as well as Nanjing and Shanghai China. He has written and spoken on intellectual property and software licensing topics. |
