Mr. Simon leads the North American Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing Group for one of the world’s preeminent management consultancies. He also serves as a director in that firm’s Philadelphia office. He has considerable experience in addressing strategic and operational issues for a range of pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device manufacturers and diversified health care services companies. For example, he helped transform a local generics manufacturer into a leading specialty pharmaceutical company, and he developed a strategy and mapped the organizational changes necessary to enable an emerging biologics company to grow annual revenues from $300 million to $1.8 billion in 18 months. He helped a medical device manufacturer reduce time to market, improve regulatory affairs and accelerate a new product launch, and provided commercial effectiveness strategy and lifecycle planning for a new biologic product using an innovative approach to physician and customer segmentation.
Prior to joining his current firm, Mr. Simon worked for Baxter Healthcare Company. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in finance and decision sciences. He earned an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
