Chris Kamer, Chief Financial Officer, began his career with Thornton Inc. as Controller. He was promoted to Vice President of Finance in 1999 and then CFO in 2002. Chris's primary responsibilities are the implementation of corporate strategies and capital and risk management. He is also responsible for overseeing of the Finance, Payroll, Internal Audit, and Information Technology Departments.
Chris graduated from the University of Louisville in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Following graduation, he worked at Coopers & Lybrand for 5 years and earned his Certified Public Accountant license.
Prior to joining Thorntons Inc. in 1995, Chris served as Vice President of Investment Accounting at Southwestern Life Corporation where he worked for 5 years. |
