Christopher Balding is a Research Analyst in the Capital Studies group at the Institute. He specializes in international trade and finance, Asian economies, hedge fund and private equity performance, and regulatory policy. He has presented papers at academic and professional conferences around the world, including the United States, Israel, Turkey, Slovenia, and Germany. He will receive his Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine, with research focusing on the impact of the WTO on international trade and growth, and development lending in Asian economies. Balding previously worked in private equity and international development consulting, and holds an M.A. and B.A. from the Elliott Scholl of International Affairs at the George Washington University. |
