Colonel Christopher W. Bowman is the Chief of Legislative Affairs for Headquarters, United States Pacific Command, located at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. In this position, he provides a constant interface with members of the United States Congress and its staff both in Hawaii and in Washington, D.C. Colonel Bowman job is to convey to Congress U.S. Pacific Command programs, policies, and legislative concerns effecting the military forces within the Asia Pacific region. Colonel Bowman also is the senior military liaison officer any time congressional delegations are visiting Hawaii as well as the rest of the Asia-Pacific region. The colonel earned his commission through the United States Air Force Academy. Prior to his assignment at U.S. Pacific Command, he served as a vice commander, 42nd Air Base Wing, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. As vice commander, he assisted the installation commander in providing base and logistical support for Air University, 47 associate units and the personnel assigned to Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Annex. |
