Christopher’s real estate and banking/finance practice involves a broad spectrum of local and national matters. He represents both landlords and tenants in commercial leasing of downtown and suburban office buildings, retail projects and industrial warehouses, and advises on the acquisition and disposition of both raw land and income-producing properties. Christopher offers comprehensive counsel on the development of industrial and office buildings and retail shopping centers. In connection with the foregoing, Christopher works with a full array of construction law issues, including drafting and negotiating architectural service agreements, construction contracts, design/build agreements and development management agreements. Christopher’s finance and banking experience includes the representation of both lending institutions and borrowers in commercial financing transactions including the negotiation and preparation of financing documents for real estate acquisition, construction and permanent loans as well as workouts and restructuring of such transactions. Christopher also has extensive experience in the negotiation and drafting of limited liability company agreements and limited partnership agreements.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
Represented General Electric Capital Corporation in connection with its mezzanine debt portfolio including workouts in connection with existing portfolio.
Represented USAA Real Estate Company, as landlord and developer, in a build-to-suit transaction with Igloo Products Corp., as tenant, in connection with a 914,195 square foot corporate office, manufacturing and warehouse facility that will serve as a headquarters for Igloo.
Represented building ownership in connection with the negotiation of a lease agreement for approximately 100,000 square feet of Class "A" office space located in the Galleria area of Houston, Texas.
