Experience:Chris serves a wide variety of health care providers, such as long-term care facilities, community and psychiatric hospitals, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, physician group practices and independent living facilities. The scope of services he provides includes reimbursement consulting services, auditing services, tax compliance and planning, and accounting and review services. Chris has assisted in the financing and refinancing of various health care operations, as well as the sale and transfer of facilities. He has represented a number of Medicare and Medicaid long-term care providers in cost reimbursement issues on both the informal and formal appeal levels. Chris is very knowledgeable in the preparation and review of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. Chris is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Chris is an active member of the Virginia Health Care Association and has served on the Adult Care Resident Committee. He is also a member of the Health Care Financial Management Association. In a career that spans almost 25 years, Chris has worked for both local accounting firms and Touché Ross, one of the nation’s largest accounting firms. Chris joined a local firm in 1989, which subsequently merged with Goodman & Company in 1990.
