Christopher R. Schmidt, CMA, CIA, is a Manager in the Restructuring & Turnaround Group. Mr. Schmidt s professional experience spans 18 years of automotive experience in Europe and the US, delivering product, process, and governance excellence. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Schmidt was a Director in Commercial Finance and Business Planning at Collins & Aikman. His career also includes extensive experience at DaimlerChrysler, where his wide range of roles spanned the areas of Program Management, Internal Audit, Product Cost, and Product Development Financial Control. Prior to DaimlerChrysler, Mr. Schmidt spent seven years working in the Western and Eastern European automotive electronics markets. Mr. Schmidt earned his MSc in International Economics at Budapest University of Economic Sciences and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
