Christopher P. Smith, Jr. is an associate with Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP and a member of the firm’s Real Estate & Banking and Bankruptcy & Commercial Law Groups.Mr. Smith has wide ranging real estate experience, including real estate acquisition and development, commercial lending, residential lending, leasing and zoning. Mr. Smith regularly represents lenders and borrowers in connection with all aspects of loan transactions.Additionally, Mr. Smith’s practice involves the representation of secured and unsecured creditors in Chapters 7, 13 and 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. Mr. Smith also regularly represents clients in connection with the defense of preference claims Mr. Smith is currently a Board Member, member of the Finance Committee and Chair of the Human Resources Committee of Residential Resources Incorporated, a non-profit corporation that assists in the housing needs for the disabled. Mr. Smith is a member of the Notre Dame Young Alumni Club of Pittsburgh. Additionally, he is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.A native of Pittsburgh, who grew up in the East End, Mr. Smith attended Central Catholic High School. He continued his education at the University of Notre Dame, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. Upon graduation from Notre Dame, Mr. Smith then attended Duquesne University where he received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2001.Currently, Mr. Smith resides with his wife Sarah in Greentree, Pennsylvania. |
