Woody Marshall joined Trident Capital in 1996 as a principal and has been a managing director since 1998. His investment focus is the payments and communications technology markets. From 1992 to 1994, he was an associate with the Leveraged Capital Group of Banque Paribas. Earlier in his career, Marshall was a financial analyst in the Corporate Finance department of Chase Manhattan Bank, where he specialized in merchant banking transactions. In addition to Bytemobile, he currently serves on the boards of Advanced Payment Solutions, Arantech, eGistics, MegaPath Networks, Merchant eSolutions, SideStep, and Xata Corporation (Nasdaq). He is also responsible for overseeing Trident's investments in AirTight Networks, mBlox and Sabre Holdings. Marshall's past investments include American Cellular (acquired by AT&T/Dobson), bamboo.com (acquired by Internet Pictures), CommSite International (acquired by American Tower), Internet Securities (acquired by Euromoney), and MapQuest.com (acquired by America Online). He earned a B.A. from Hamilton College and an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. |
