Chris Hartmann has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Thomas & Betts since October 2006. In this role, he is responsible for all of the company’s global operations.
Prior to his promotion to, Mr. Hartmann served as president of T&B’s electrical products operation in the United States and Europe, a position he held since joining the company in April 2003.
Mr. Hartmann brings significant breadth of experience in various industries, types of enterprises and functional areas to his position. Prior to joining Thomas & Betts, he served as president and chief operating officer of Affiliated Distributors (A-D), the largest network of independent distributors (350 members with over 5,000 locations) in North America. Under his leadership, A-D expanded its network into new niche markets and grew sales by more than 30 percent. Mr. Hartmann has also held positions at Rockwell Automation, AB Electrolux/White Consolidated, and General Electric.
Mr. Hartmann holds a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters of Business Administration from Marquette University.
