Mr. Parent is an Associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology Group. Mr. Parent’s work includes prosecuting federal and international trademark applications, drafting technology and licensing agreements, and assisting in the litigation of intellectual property disputes. Mr. Parent is also a member of the firm’s Committee of Associates and Hiring Committee. Prior to joining Brownstein, Mr. Parent practiced commercial litigation at large national and international law firms, assisting in the litigation of intellectual property disputes. He successfully settled claims of patent infringement against a manufacturer of drainage galleries. He also assisted in the litigation of a major trademark, trade dress and copyright dispute involving the manufacturer of replica antique firearms. Additionally, Mr. Parent served as the lead associate in a lawsuit involving the ownership of a National Football League franchise. Before practicing law, he was a speechwriter and defense analyst for a U.S. Department of Defense contractor. |
