J. Christopher Janak
Profile : Chris Janak is a partner in the Utilities Group. Mr. Janak joined Bose McKinney & Evans in 1994. He serves as special and local counsel for many for-profit and non-profit utilities, regional districts, conservancy districts and municipalities throughout the State of Indiana. Mr. Janak regularly represents utilities and private parties in proceedings before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Commission and in state and federal court on a variety of issues including the creation of for-profit and non-profit utilities, establishment of utility rates and charges, and financing of utility projects. In recent years, Mr. Janak has actively represented clients in a number of precedent-setting cases involving utility rates, territorial disputes, utility procedures, and the powers and duties of for-profit and non-profit utilities. Mr. Janak has on numerous occasions made presentations and provided counsel to the Indiana Regional Sewer District Association, Alliance of Rural Water Association and Indiana Association of Cities and Towns.
