Chris Hodges is an Associate Director focused on buyout and growth capital investments in technology-driven companies across Europe. He is based in London.
Since joining Carlyle in 2002, Dr. Hodges has focused on the Aerospace & Defense, Semiconductor and Telecommunications sectors. Prior to Carlyle, Dr. Hodges was an investment executive at 3i plc where he focused on European venture deals in the Telecommunications sector. Prior to 3i, Dr. Hodges was a member of PA Consulting Group's Global Technology Practice where he provided due diligence services to the investment community as well as product and process development services to a range of industrial clients.
Dr. Hodges has a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Cambridge where he won a Quatercentenery Research Scholarship at Emmanuel College. He received First Class Honours in physics from Oxford University where he was an Ethel-May Pringle Scholar at Lady Margaret Hall. Dr. Hodges is a member of the Board of Directors of NP Aerospace, Cameca and Cube Optics.
