Christopher J. Donovan is a partner in McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Boston office. He is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Department, and also participates in the Firm’s Health Law Group. He concentrates his practice on advising companies and their investors and lenders in mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, buyouts and restructurings. He has particular experience in leveraged buyouts involving health care companies and health care real estate financings.
While in law school, Christopher was a member of the Boston College International Comparative Law Review.

Represented Retirement Residences REIT as U.S. Counsel in connection with its go-private sale to a Canadian pension fund for over $2b U.S.
Represented Central Park Lodges in connection with its acquisition and debt financing of a portfolio of skilled nursing facilities for $100m U.S.
Represented Three Arch Partners, Salix Ventures, and New Spring Capital in its leveraged buyout of Habit Management Inc.
Outside U.S. general counsel to one of the premier global management consulting firms including benefits, litigation, bankruptcy, investment, anti-trust, trade and general corporate advice.
Represent a German-based, global precious metals company and U.S. affiliates in numerous U.S. mergers and acquisition involving precious metal manufacturing concerns including those related to auto OEM products, medical device components and related businesses.
Represented one of the largest US- based private equity firms in connection with U.S. healthcare regulatory matters transactions.
Represent several senior housing and long term care operators on mergers & acquisitions, regulatory, real estate and compliance matters.
General Counsel to a major, private equity backed telecom tower operator portfolio company of Highland Capital Partners, Centennial Ventures, Citibank and other investors including representation on equity rounds, debt financing mergers and acquisitions.
Represented a French based global energy company in connection with U.S. merger and acquisition activity involving outsourced energy contracting.
