Chris Steger concentrates his practice on civil litigation and employment law. He has represented a number of corporations, both national and international, in the defense of various employment discrimination lawsuits and other related litigation, including summary judgments, bench and jury trials and appellate argument. He counsels clients with respect to employment decisions including hiring, termination, reductions in force, disciplinary actions, separation agreements, unemployment compensation claims and employment contracts. He has successfully represented various clients in the defense of class action discrimination lawsuits. He has handled numerous investigations of charges of discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and analogous state agencies. He routinely prepares employment policies, separation agreements and documents associated with employment decisions and assists clients in maintaining proper documentation to support employment decisions.
