Christopher Regan is a respected litigator and legal advisor whose practice is especially focused on white-collar litigation and environmental matters.
Christopher represents and advises individuals and corporations in complex criminal cases and related civil and administrative matters at both state and federal levels. He also represents and advises clients in areas such as: corporate internal investigations; grand jury investigations; SEC enforcement proceedings; shareholder litigation; suspension and debarment proceedings; sentencing and probation; and audit committee and EHS counseling. Christopher provides subject matter experience on matters of accounting, tax and bank fraud; mail and wire fraud; conspiracy; and trade secrets and proprietary information. He has also represented clients with regard to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, government contracts and environmental crimes.
In the area of environmental law, Christopher provides regulatory, litigation and legislative services to clients in the manufacturing, refining and shipping industries. He has significant experience with state and federal environmental laws, including CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Water Act/Oil Pollution Act, EPCRA, and the Clean Air Act. Christopher has represented clients in large toxic tort cases and superfund cort recovery and contribution actions, and has also provided counsel on aspects of the purchase and sale of properties having environmental or special-resource issues.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2004, Christopher held a senior position with another prominent law firm (1990-2004).
