Chris Moore is a Director in the New Orleans office of Coats Rose, with a specialty in labor and employment law. He has been a featured speaker in programs for human resources professionals and attorneys on employment law topics such as the development and implementation of employment policies and recent developments in employment law. He was a Chapter Editor for the 2003 cumulative supplement to the ABA publication "Employment Termination: Rights and Remedies." Chris is also a Member of the Fore!Kids Foundation, a New Orleans organization that helps conduct the PGA Tour's Zurich Classic of New Orleans and distributes proceeds to local children's charities. He was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in the prestigious publication The Best Lawyers in America and has received an "AV" Peer Review rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Chris is an advocate for employers, and has successfully defended federal and state law claims of race, sex, religious, age and disability discrimination; breach of contract, wrongful termination, retaliation, defamation, harassment, infliction of emotional distress, misrepresentation, interference with contract, whistleblower, employee benefits and abuse of right claims, state and federal wage claims, family and medical leave claims, unfair labor practices and labor arbitrations. He has also successfully represented employers in disputes involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
Chris has also represented management in union organizing campaigns, labor disputes and the defense of unfair labor practice complaints. As an advisor, Chris has prepared written employment practices, systems, forms and contracts, and has trained managers on their implementation and administration.
