Chris Raymond is the vice president, Business Development, Boeing Integrated Defense Systems. He is responsible for the development, integration and implementation of IDS customer and business strategies.
Prior to his current position, Raymond was the vice president, Business Development, IDS Air Force Systems, and was responsible for leading teams focused on innovative Global Mobility; Global Strike; Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C3ISR); and Integrated Space solutions.
Raymond also oversaw Business Development core activities as deputy to the Integrated Defense Systems vice president for Business Development. In this role he also led the IDS Marketing Organization consisting of Field Marketing, Competitive Assessment, and Joint Command Engagement. Before that, Raymond led Business Development in the Airlift and Tankers Division. These roles included strategy, domestic and international sales campaign development, customer and congressional interface as well as being a company spokesperson for external communications.
Before joining Business Development, Raymond held a variety of responsible leadership and management assignments within Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Operations at Boeing. He also held program management responsibility for military, government, regulatory and international business issues related to potential commercialization of the C-17 aircraft.
Raymond holds a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Illinois, a certificate with honors in contract management and a master's degree with honors in business administration, both from the University of California-Irvine. He also has completed a variety of leadership and program management courses at the Boeing Leadership Center in Missouri. |
