As Virage Logic’s vice president of finance and chief financial officer (CFO), Christine Russell is responsible for leading all financial and administrative activities including corporate finance, administration, legal, and investor relations.
Russell brings more than 20 years of financial executive management experience in both emerging and larger technology firms in the Silicon Valley to Virage Logic. Most recently she served as CFO of OuterBay Technologies, a database archiving company, which was sold to Hewlett-Packard in February 2006. Prior to that, Russell held CFO positions at Ceva, Inc., a digital signal processing IP company and Persistence Software, Inc., both NASDAQ listed companies. She successfully completed initial public offerings (IPOs) for Persistence Software and Valence Technology. She also served as CFO of Cygnus Solutions (sold to Red Hat), a provider of open source development tools and platforms for embedded technologies, and held CFO and executive financial positions at Valence Technology, Xerox and Measurex (Honeywell).
Russell currently serves as a director and chair of the Audit Committees for Peak International, Ltd. and QuickLogic Corporation. She is also a member of the University of Santa Clara Business School Advisory Board and a past president of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Financial Executives International and served as a member of the FEI National Ethics and Eligibility Committee.
