Christina J. Gehrke was appointed senior vice president and chief administrative officer in May 2007, and she is the bank’s principal accounting officer. Ms. Gerhke is responsible for the bank’s accounting, compliance management, corporate governance, and human resources areas. She served as first vice president and director of audit from May 2006 to May 2007 and, since joining the bank in 1998, has also served as audit services manager and assistant director of audit.
As director of audit, Ms. Gehrke was responsible for the internal audit department functions, as well as for management and coordination of the bank's annual regulatory exam and external audit processes. She was responsible for providing effective communication of audit findings to the Board of Directors and senior management, including reports on the scope of audits, results of audits, and comprehensive recommendations for improvement. She was the primary manager for the audit department’s Sarbanes-Oxley 404 documentation review and control testing.
Ms. Gehrke is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Investment and Derivatives Auditor, and Certified Forensic Accountant. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Seattle University and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from The Ohio State University.
Ms. Gehrke is a past president of the local chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. She periodically conducts Becker CPA review courses for CPA candidates in the Seattle area. |
