Ms. Mickelson joined the firm in 2002 as an associate in the Business Department. She specializes in general business and corporate matters with an emphasis in representing investment funds and advisers, securities, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Mickelson served as a Compliance Officer for Banc of America Securities LLC.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Ms. Mickelson is involved with the West Coast chapter of 100 Women in Hedge Funds and the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights’ Legal Services for Entrepreneurs. She is a member of the Financial Women’s Association and the Business Law Sections of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the California State Bar.
EDUCATION
Ms. Mickelson received her B.A. degree in History, cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 1993. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2002. At Hastings, Ms. Mickelson was a member of the Hastings Law Journal, Thurston Society and Order of the Coif, and served as an extern to the Honorable Vaughn R. Walker, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. In 2002, she received the West Group’s Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement. |
