Christie Hall is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP, based in its London office. She is a member of the Employment Group where her practice focuses on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious.
Christie has advised on implementing redundancy programs, disciplinary hearings, dismissal litigation, discrimination, employee grievances and the employment aspects of share and asset transfers. She is also experienced in drafting employment contracts, service agreements and employee manuals and handbooks.
Christie advises on all aspects of employment litigation both in the Employment Tribunals and in the County and High Courts, including preparation of claim and defense forms, drafting witness statements, preparing submissions, attending mediations and conducting settlement discussions. She also conducts her own advocacy and has appeared before the Employment Tribunals, both in England and New Zealand.
Christie has experience in preparing and presenting both in-house and external seminars and conference papers, and in providing in-house manager training on a variety of subjects.
Christie is dual qualified as an English and New Zealand solicitor. Prior to joining McDermott Will & Emery Christie practiced employment law at a major Australasian law firm.
