Chris Armstrong is responsible for the retail, institutional, sales, investment specialist and client experience functions at TD AMERITRADE, as well as marketing, mergers and acquisitions, strategy processes and business planning. He previously served as acting president and chief executive officer of TD Waterhouse USA and chairman, president and chief executive officer of TD Waterhouse Bank. Before this, Armstrong served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer for TD Bank Financial Group (TDBFG). He joined the bank in 2000 from Canada Trust where he was executive vice president of marketing. Previously, Armstrong held a number of executive positions, including executive vice president of marketing for First Interstate Bank, executive vice president of marketing for MNC Financial Inc. and vice president at Citibank. Before entering the financial services arena, Armstrong was staff vice president of strategic planning for The Hertz Corporation, a general manager for PepsiCo, Inc. and a financial analyst for Ford Motor Company. Armstrong received his bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and earned an M.B.A. with honors from American University. |
