Chris Vaszily embarks on his third year with the Falcons after spending four seasons as an assistant coach at Louisiana Tech. Vaszily coached the school's wide receivers in his final collegiate season and saw one of the school's offensive players, RB Ryan Moats, get drafted in the third round by the Eagles.
His tenure at Louisiana Tech also included a stint as special teams and tight ends coach and one of his own pupils, K Josh Scobee, was drafted in the fifth round by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2004. Chris' past college coaching experience has also entailed stopovers at Itawamba Community College, Charleston Southern Univ. and Liberty Univ.
The native of Kulpsville, Pa. earned his bachelor's degree in business finance from Albright College, where he was a three-year starter at defensive back and a M.D. in sports science from the U.S. Sports Academy. Chris will scout the midwest section of the country for the Falcons and resides in Columbus, Ohio.
