Syracuse University, NY, Bachelor of Arts in American Studies/Journalism Chris Tennyson joined Seyferth Spaulding Tennyson Inc. in 1999. As one of the firm’s three principals, he heads the firm’s Detroit office and uses his more than 25 years of experience in challenging corporate and agency environments to counsel public and private organizations in diverse consumer, leisure and manufacturing industries.
For 16 years prior to joining SST, Chris led the corporate affairs function for The Taubman Company, an investment and real estate development firm. He coordinated the communications programs for Taubman’s regional shopping centers and international holdings, including Sotheby’s, the Woodward & Lothrop and John Wanamaker department store chains, A&W Restaurants and the Michigan Panthers of the U.S. Football League. He led the communications components of initial public offerings for Sotheby’s Holdings (NYSE:BID) and Taubman Centers (NYSE:TCO).
Before moving to Detroit, Chris was based in the New York office of the international public relations/public affairs firm Hill & Knowlton. As a company vice president, Chris supervised a broad range of public relations programs for many of the world’s leading corporations and brands, including IBM, Procter & Gamble, Consolidated Edison, Monsanto, Uniroyal, Benetton, the U.S. Olympic Committee and Rockefeller Center.
Chris has also worked as a speechwriter, journalist, teacher and college administrator. |
