Chris is an experienced Manager within Brown Smith Wallace’s Risk Services practice. His responsibilities include working with both public and private companies to assess and manage risk associated with their information technology environments. Prior to joining Brown Smith Wallace, Chris served at KPMG LLP where he gained more than nine years expertise in the information technology and risk management service industries. His expertise includes: Managing multiple application reviews for major companies in the St. Louis area, including a major manufacturer, a utility company, and a major service provider company. Specialty is primarily within SAP and JD Edwards environments. Supervising multiple IT Internal Audit projects for a major, privately held market research company based within St. Louis. Overseeing and assisting in the documentation and testing of internal controls in conjunction with Sarbanes-Oxley engagements for a major St. Louis based national technology company. Assisted in the documentation and evaluation of internal controls as part of the Sarbanes-Oxley project for a leading regional financial institution. As part of this project, IT processes controls are being evaluated against control objectives and risks included within CoBIT and COSO. Assisted in the IT portion of the external audit Sarbanes-Oxley review for a major financial services and healthcare service provider. Responsibilities included documenting and analyzing system controls, application controls and interfaces. Managed and assisted in execution of Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70 Type 2 audits for various organizations, including applications service providers, payroll provider and an insurance payment service provider. Documented, designed and tested internal controls and issued a report on the state of those controls. Served as the lead for a major IT outsourcer SAS 70. Chris is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Approva Certified Professional. Chris received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management of Information Systems from the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. |
