Since January 2003, Chris Morocco has worked behind the scenes as the executive in charge of restructuring, rebuilding and relaunching a portfolio of food and beverage brands opposite the sister division of Raving Brands. Specifically, Morocco has been leading the charge to relaunch and remake PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans and Planet Smoothie, the orginal Raving Brands concept.Rounding out the portfolio under Morocco’s leadership is Shane’s Rib Shack, a fast casual concept specializing in ribs, chicken and barbeque. Shane’s is currently one of the fastest-growing of all of the Raving Brands. Morocco developed his entrepreneurial spirit with several ventures before joining Raving Brands. As principal of C&M Enterprises, a company he established in the mid-90s, he focused on developing, investing in, and operating start-up or early stage companies for sale to strategic partners. The company worked on three major projects: @Work, Partner, a workplace-marketing tool and database solution for financial institutions; IMV Internet (Nextron), an indirect sales channel responsible for selling template based, web site development tool for small and mid-sized businesses; and Vision Plastics, focused on plastics recycling. Morocco’s skills in finance, investments and real estate can also be tracked back to the early 1990s with companies such as Regent Partners, Meridian Capital, Powerpath and New Dominion Real Estate Company. A starting quarterback for ACC powerhouse Clemson University in the late 1980s, Morocco received a bachelor’s in business administration. He resides in Atlanta, Ga. with his family. |
