Chris is the Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East & Africa division of InterContinental Hotels Group. He received his Diploma from the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, Switzerland, and started his working career in the hospitality industry 1979.
In 1983, he moved to USA, and held his first position in InterContinental Hotels Corporation in New York, where he worked in the Management Information Systems. For the last 21 years, he has worked in different operational positions within InterContinental Hotels Group, in several locations in the world, Paris, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, San Fransisco, London, Al Jubail, Riyadh, Cairo and presently Dubai.
Despite the increasing competition in the hospitality industry, Chris Moloney's strategy is to increase the number of hotels the Company manages in the Middle East & Africa division, through major development opportunities and strong distribution of Hotel brands in key markets and locations.
Chris speaks fluent English and French and some Arabic. He currently lives in Dubai with his wife and two children. He is an excellent golfer, and has an interest in tennis. He also shares with his wife a personal interest in fine arts. |
