Chris Comish, Chief Risk Officer. Chris Comish serves as Chief Risk Officer for Allied Capital. He works closely with Clay Tramel, CEO to monitor the credit quality of Allied’s existing portfolio, underwrite new client credit, and analyze and recommend improvements to processes that will achieve greater organizational efficiencies. In addition, Mr. Comish works with Sales and Marketing to gather and analyze data to help gain a better understanding of how different segments respond to various sales/marketing techniques.
After graduating with a degree in Economics from Louisiana State University, Mr. Comish began his career in the financial services industry with Hibernia National Bank. There he served in numerous roles within the Direct Bank call center, most notably managing the outbound sales team. Mr. Comish was instrumental in growing sales from $150 million to over $450 million, as well as driving the cross-sell ratio from 1.75 products per customer to over 4.60 products per customer.
In 2004, Mr. Comish took a brief departure to earn his MBA from the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University where he served as President of the MBA Association and was awarded the Most Distinguished Student Award by the business school faculty. Upon graduation, he was recruited by Citigroup to join their Commercial Lending group in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Mr. Comish attended a six-month intensive credit training program based in Manhattan at Citigroup headquarters. Upon completion, he was promoted to VP/Relationship Manager in the Residential Development and Construction division. Mr. Comish served in that role for approximately 18 months where he assisted in managing a $200 million portfolio of both local and national clients in the homebuilding industry. |
