Mr. Brauer brings over 20 years of experience in law enforcement to the MSA management team. A retired member of the New York City Police Department (NYPD), he was a Police Officer and Sergeant in the Emergency Service Unit for 11 years, and a Detective in the Bomb Squad for three years. During his tenure with the Emergency Service Unit he supervised over 50 officers. Assignments included Hostage Negotiations, Swat Teams, and numerous Emergency Rescue Efforts. Prior to joining MSA, Mr. Brauer was Assistant Director of Security for the Home Insurance Company, having nationwide responsibility for 19 buildings and 14,000 employees, as well as protection for the company's executives. He also oversaw a staff of 30 professionals. Brauer attended Buena Vista College, the New York City Police Department Academy, The FBI Hazardous Devices School, and the Hazardous Materials School of the DEP. Currently Mr. Brauer oversees all Special Event Security operations for MSA. |
