Chris Baker joined Intense in January 2006 as Vice President Sales and Marketing to lead the next phase of significant growth. Chris brings extensive international sales and marketing leadership; gained in both start up and global organizations. His experience is primarily within the digital printing industry where he led operations in the UK, Europe and the USA. Following a number of years with Kodak Chris joined Crosfield Electronics, a leader in digital Pre-Press systems. At Crosfield he led both UK and US sales teams during which time the company grew dramatically, being acquired by a Dupont- Fuji JV. In 1993 Chris joined Indigo; at that time an Israeli VC backed High Technology Company. As first European employee Chris was the founder of Indigo UK, successfully building the company over the following 5 years. During this time Indigo went public on NASDAQ with a billion dollar valuation. Chris became a VP in 2000 leading the EMEA sales and marketing operation through a major growth period. Indigo was acquired by Hewlett Packard in 2002 during which time he led the EMEA Digital Publishing division. Chris graduated in Chemistry from York University and is married with two sons now at University. Chris is keen on fitness, mountain biking and astronomy. |
