Choua L. Vang is an associate in the firm's Health Law and Antitrust and Trade Regulation practice groups in the Appleton office. Choua's practice covers a wide range of issues for various health care systems, including hospitals, physician groups and diagnostic imaging providers. She works extensively in the areas of patient care and risk management, medical records and health information systems, fraud and abuse/STARK compliance and Medicare/Medicaid payment issues. Choua also concentrates her practice in the area of antitrust and trade regulation as those issues pertain to health care systems. Choua earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School where she served as Articles Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Choua was also the recipient of the George Laikan Award for outstanding contribution to the Wisconsin Law Review in special fields and the Mathys Memorial Award for outstanding appellate advocacy. Choua earned a dual bachelor's degree in Sociology and Behavioral Science and Law from the University of Wisconsin Madison, where she graduated with distinction. Choua is the author of "The Conflict Between Law and Culture: The Case of the Hmong in America," Wisconsin Law Review (2001). Choua is also the co-author of "Recent Developments in Insurance Regulation," 38 Tort Trial & Ins. Prac. L. J. 465 (2003).
