Ching-Ho Fung, Chairman of Parature, Inc., started his entrepreneurial career as the co-founder of Performix Inc., a Virginia based software company focused on load testing for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. After successfully selling Performix in 1995, Ching-Ho became an active angel investor, making multiple investments in software companies, the most notably Blackboard (NASDAQ: BBBB) and Parature, a leading provider of on-demand customer support software.
A 20-year software industry veteran, Ching-Ho has shared his expertise in multiple arenas. In 1998, he served on the Board of Directors of Blackboard. In December 2002, Governor Mark Warner appointed Ching-Ho to the Board of Directors of Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology, a state-funded non-profit corporation focused on accelerating Virginia's next generation of technology companies. From 2002 to 2003, Ching-Ho also served as chairman of the Monte Jade DC Science and Technology Association, a non-profit organization designed to benefit Chinese-owned scientific and technological businesses in the Greater Washington Area. Currently Ching-Ho serves on the Board of Directors of 6th Sense Analytics and Cerbibo, a Beijing-based joint venture between Blackboard and Cernet.
Ching-Ho earned his master of business administration degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. |
