Chinatsu Aone leads the natural language technologies and solutions program in SRA’s advanced technology group. The program encompasses work in developing text mining tools and solutions for clients, and conducting advanced research and development.
Aone oversees the development of text mining tools, including SRA’s NetOwl solution, which intelligently analyze large volumes of textual information in multiple languages for both government and commercial clients. Her group works with business units across the company to develop text mining solutions to meet specific client needs.
She joined SRA in 1991 after receiving her Ph.D. in computational linguistics and natural language processing from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the Association of Computational Linguistics (ACL) and is active in the research community. In 2001, she was named Technologist of the Year at the Women of Color in Government and Defense Technology Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
