Mr. Idziszek holds a Master of Applied Sciences degree from McGill University and has worked as a manager and senior geologist for a number of international mining companies since 1971.
In 1990, he received the Mining Man of the Year award in recognition of his vital role in the discovery and development of the Eskay Creek Deposits in Northwestern British Columbia. He also received the prestigious Prospector of the Year Award for 1994 again, in recognition of the major role he played in the discovery and development of the Eskay Creek Deposits, as well as for his leadership of Adrian Resources Ltd. during its exploration and development of the Petaquilla copper-gold deposits in Panama.
As a Director of Arequipa Resources Ltd. he helped during the negotiations with Barrick Gold Corp. to maximize the value received by Arequipa shareholders during the successful take-over bid by Barrick in 1996. |
