Cheryl Nierengarten is Senior Associate for Sun Hospitality Advisors, the select-service division of The Plasencia Group and is responsible for assisting the Tampa-based Sun Hospitality marketing

associates with various sales and administrative details.

Ms. Nierengarten relocated to Tampa from Atlanta in 1987 where she began her hospitality-related career. She has been employed in a variety of capacities by a various upper scale hotels such as Marriotts, Embassy

Suites, Doubletrees, etc. for more than two decades. Most recently she was Director of Sales for the Marriott Westshore in Tampa.

Over the years Cheryl has been active in and a member of the Tampa Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau, Westshore Alliance, Meeting Planners International, Florida Business Travel Association, amongst other

organizations, which have allowed her to establish and broaden her relationships within the hospitality arena.

Ms. Nierengarten attended DeKalb Community College in Clarkston, Georgia.
