Karen joins The Leader's Edge with almost 30 years of international professional experience. She brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to executive coaching through her diverse background, and her innate ability to quickly and easily engage people of all cultures. Karen enables her clients to build awareness, to attend to purpose, to be mindful of and practice new techniques, and expand their range of skills to achieve desired professional results. Karen has extensive experience working with and advising and mentoring senior managers and corporate executives, both in the private and public sectors, and in international organizations and not-for-profits. After several years in banking, she became an executive search consultant, and was eventually recruited to join the World Bank. Karen has spent the past 20 years at the World Bank, of which 4 years were in Paris. Karen’s World Bank experience includes positions as a recruiter, HR generalist, Global Recruitment Manager, and most recently, she developed and managed the Bank’s Executive Search Program. Karen has been coaching executives throughout her career, and through the World Bank, has had the opportunity to work closely with several of their presidents.Karen, born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, speaks several languages, and came to the United States initially to receive a college education. Upon graduation, she began her professional career in international banking and then transitioned into executive coaching. Karen earned her Executive Coaching certification from Georgetown University in April 2007. Karen and her family currently reside in Washington, DC. |
