Cheryl Brown consults for Noel-Levitz from her position as director of admissions at Binghamton University of the State University of New York. She offers 25 years of experience in college admissions and financial aid. As director of admissions, Ms. Brown implemented a complete reorganization of Binghamton’s office of undergraduate admissions. She initiated a territory-based model of student recruitment, used institutional research to redefine recruitment efforts and reallocate resources, and enacted a culture of one-to-one recruiting and relationship building. These efforts helped the university enroll its largest freshman class in history, while still maintaining overall academic quality and remaining on budget. Ms. Brown also initiated efforts to establish a 'one-stop service' at the University Call Center, and integrated e-mail and instant messaging communications in the telecounseling program. Prior to moving to the admissions office, Ms. Brown served as assistant director of financial aid at the university.
